Barrier-free compartment

Many Nightjet services have barrier-free compartments for passengers with limited mobility.

Amenities, services and booking information

Our goal is to make travelling by train as comfortable as possible for all our passengers. For passengers with limited mobility (wheelchair), on many of our train services we offer a coach with a wheelchair-accessible compartment and an adjoining washroom. Use of this compartment is not dependent on being accompanied by a carer.

Please book this special compartment and the boarding/alighting assistance by contacting ÖBB Customer Service no later than 36 hours before departure.

  • ultra-modern barrier-free compartment with 4 beds for up to two limited-mobility passengers with or without carer
  • barrier-free toilet adjoining the compartment
  • Compartment shared with other passengers
  • Space for wheelchair and assistance dog (a dog can be accommodated if the whole compartment is booked. To make a booking, please contact ÖBB Customer Service at +43 5 1717-5.)
